Ohio State's Heuerman: 'We're going to show (Maryland) what Big Ten football is'

Maryland is playing its first season in the Big Ten, and Ohio State tight end Jeff Heuerman is ready to teach the Terrapins what playing in the conference is all about.

“We’re going to go there and we’re going to welcome them to the Big Ten,” Heuerman said Wednesday, according to Cleveland.com. “We’re going to go on the road and it’s going to be a big game and we’re going to show them what Big Ten football is and hopefully it’ll come out in our favor.”

The Terrapins played in the ACC before joining the Big Ten's East Division this season.

Maryland (4-1) hosts No. 20 Ohio State (3-1) on Saturday in the Terps' first home conference game, and Heuerman knows Maryland will be looking to make a statement by pulling the upset.

"They're saying it's one of the biggest games in Maryland history," he said. "Whatever that means."
