Wisconsin has record-breaking day in rushing, total offense vs. Bowling Green

Jesse Johnson / USA TODAY Sports

So it's probably safe to say that the Wisconsin Badgers have a solid running game in place.

The Badgers accumulated a jaw-dropping 644 rushing yards and broke the modern era Big Ten record as a result. They also broke their single-game school record with 756 yards of total offense.

The running game was firing on all cylinders as running back Melvin Gordon registered 253 rushing yards on 13 carries while quarterback Tanner McEvoy added 158 of his own on 11 carries. Running back Corey Clement and cornerback Dare Ogunbowale also contributed to the rushing onslaught and each added about 100 yards of their own.

Wisconsin came away from Camp Randall Stadium in Madison with 68-17 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons in what was certainly one for the history books.
