Mike Florio: Jameis Winston might soon be 'radioactive for some' NFL teams

Roughly 24 hours after Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was suspended for the first half of the Seminoles' upcoming game against Clemson for making a vulgar remark on campus, many critics are weighing in on the Heisman trophy winner's NFL future.

One of those critics is Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, who's said that Winston's latest off-field incident may have scared NFL teams from potentially drafting the star quarterback.

"What's going to happen is if Jameis Winston doesn't figure it out soon, he is going to be radioactive for some teams, maybe for a lot of teams," said Florio. " I asked someone today how much this new reality of the NFL is going to change scouting. For some teams it apparently is going to change it a lot, for others it might not change it much at all because some teams still want to win football games."

Florio then goes on to discuss the concern that teams may have of making Winston the future face of their franchise considering that more evidence of his alleged sexual assault may come to light in the future.

"There's enough evidence out there to have a concern that he isn't ready and may never be ready to be a face of your franchise," he said.
