Miami's Kevin Olsen charged with DUI, possession of fake ID

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

Third-string Miami quarterback Kevin Olsen was arrested over the weekend and charged with DUI and possession of fake IDs, according to WSVN-TV

The arrest marks yet another speed bump in the college career of the 19-year-old pivot, who went from vying for the starting quarterback spot at Miami to making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In August, the redshirt freshman was suspended one game for failing a drug test. He was also suspended for the Russell Athletic Bowl in December for violating team policy.

Prior to joining the Hurricanes, the Miami Herald reported Olsen was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident and careless driving after a May 2013 incident in his hometown of Wayne, N.J.

He is the younger brother of former UM standout and current Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen.
