Report: LSU to start Anthony Jennings at quarterback vs. Wisconsin

While LSU head coach Les Miles has said that both of his young quarterbacks will see snaps on Saturday, it now looks like we know who will be the first Tiger under center. According to a report from The Times-Picayune, sophomore Anthony Jennings will get the start against Wisconsin.

Jennings gets the nod over true freshman Brandon Harris after the two battled for the starting spot during practice in the weeks leading up to the game against the Badgers. However, with Harris also expected to get snaps on Saturday, a solid performance could help him unseat Jennings from the starting spot.

The 6-foot-2, 211 pound Jennings appeared in nine games as Zach Mettenberger's backup last season. Jennings' lone start came in the Outback Bowl against Iowa after Metternberg tore his ACL in the regular season finale. The Hawkeyes defense proved a challenge for Jennings, as he finished the game 7-of-19 for 82 yards with an interception, but the Tigers won anyway 21-14.
