Stoops confirms Oklahoma appealing for immediate eligibility for Green-Beckham

Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops addressed the media at Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday, and the subject of Missouri transfer Dorial Green-Beckham's status was one of the subjects that was addressed.

Stoops confirmed that Oklahoma has appealed to the NCAA in hopes of gaining immediate eligibility for the troubled wide receiver.

The addition of Green-Beckham to the current Sooners squad would make the team an immediate title contender, as the team will likely find itself inside the national top five in the preseason AP poll either way.

The fact that Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel has said he won't assist in the process makes Oklahoma's pursuit a long shot, though.
