Jim Harbaugh lists the entire country as his top recruiting territory
Jim Harbaugh made national headlines for his barnstorming satellite camp tour across the United States, so it's probably no surprise what his answer was Wednesday when asked what state was most important for recruiting.
That's right, the Michigan head coach listed the entire country, the fourth-largest in the world, as the school's most important recruiting ground.
A quick look at the Wolverines' top-10 recruits from the 2017 class shows that Harbaugh wasn't joking about looking nationally for players. Only two of his top 10 are from Michigan, with others ranging from Texas to Colorado to Florida.
Player | Rating/100 | State |
---|---|---|
Donovan Peoples-Jones | 88 | Michigan |
Cesar Ruiz | 86 | Florida |
Aubrey Solomon | 84 | Georgia |
Luiji Vilain | 84 | Virginia |
Dylan McCaffrey | 83 | Colorado |
Jordan Anthony | 83 | Florida |
Chuck Filiaga | 83 | Texas |
Nico Collins | 82 | Alabama |
Drew Singleton | 82 | New Jersey |
Ja'Raymond Hall | 82 | Michigan |
There's a chance that Harbaugh's answer might change in the next month as the Wolverines are headed to Italy for a spring trip. If he's able to ink a couple of Italian teenagers while over there, don't be shocked to see him go worldwide with his next answer.
