Ohio State's Terry McLaurin: Moving in on starting spot
McLaurin appears to be positioning himself for a starting role in Ohio State's receiving corps, Bill Landis of Cleveland.com reports. "Terry is having an excellent spring," said coach Urban Meyer after Tuesday's practice.
Analysis:
The Buckeyes are once again looking to reload on the fly at receiver following the departures of Curtis Samuel, Noah Brown, and Dontre Wilson. McLaurin hasn't seen much playing time since arriving on campus in 2014, but he did finally start to see some snaps last year as a redshirt sophomore. He caught 11 passes for 114 yards and two scores over 11 appearances. Now that there appears to be two starting spots up for the taking in the receiving corps, McLaurin has positioned himself as a favorite to lock down one of those spots.
