Steve Spurrier takes jab at Saban winning coach of the year

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Gone but not forgotten, Hall of Famer Steve Spurrier still is making waves with his comments, even after being retired for over a year.

Speaking on a radio station in Gainesville, Fla., Spurrier brought up Nick Saban's Maxwell Football Club's coach of the year award.

"Obviously, they must have voted before the final game," Spurrier said, according to Zach Abolverdi ESPN Gainesville.

That final game was obviously in reference to Alabama being upset by Clemson in the national championship game.

The Ole' Ball Coach still has it.
