Notre Dame's Brandon Wimbush: To see majority of reps in spring practice

Wimbush will get 60 percent of the first-team reps in spring practice, Pete Sampson of Irish Illustrated reports.

Analysis:

After working behind the likes of DeShone Kizer and Malik Zaire during his first two years on campus, Wimbush finally gets a legitimate shot to win Notre Dame's starting quarterback job. Wimbush, who was rated as the No.3 dual threat quarterback in his recruiting class, will see the bulk of the reps while Ian Book is groomed as the backup. Barring an unforeseen explosion from Book, Wimbush appears to be the odds-on favorite to win the job for the Irish.
