Auburn's Darius Slayton: To miss spring practice
Slayton (sports hernia) will miss the entirety of spring practice, Justin Ferguson of the AJC's SEC Country Blog reports.
Analysis:
As a freshman in 2016, Slayton impressed by finishing second on the team in receiving, hauling in 15 receptions for 292 yards (19.47 YPR). He did undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia, which will keep him out for spring. That said, Slayton should be ready for fall camp. Even with a new offensive coordinator in the fold at Auburn, Slayton's absence from spring practice shouldn't have much of an impact on his role once the season gets underway.
