Washington names Matt Lubick co-offensive coordinator, receivers coach

Matt Lubick appears to have finally settled on a new destination.

Washington announced Wednesday that Matt Lubick will be the team's new co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.

"I am excited to add Matt to our coaching staff," head coach Chris Petersen said in a statement, according to Chantel Jennings of ESPN. "He has earned a national reputation as an innovative coaching mind and a successful recruiter. Equally as important, we believe he will be a terrific fit with our staff, players and the University of Washington."

The 45-year-old has had a busy offseason. Lubick was let go from his offensive coordinator position at Oregon when Mark Helfrich was hired, but he quickly landed on his feet in December at Ole Miss as a receivers coach. That didn't last more than a few weeks, though, as Lubick quickly jumped to Baylor as an offensive coordinator.

Lubick will take over for Bush Hamdan, who left for an NFL job earlier this month.
