Known as one of the most historic football strata in the country, Notre Dame began renovations on its stadium back in November 2014 amid a $400-million campus-wide project investment.

On Thursday, the school provided an update on how the renovations to the stadium have gone, with an expected completion date of August 2017.

The renovations will allow 3,000 to 4,000 more fans to attend games, while also adding outdoor club-level seating as well as terraces with views of both the campus and playing field.

However, the biggest change coming is the addition of a video board at the top of the south end of the venue and ribbon boards along the east and west sides of the stadium. With the installation of the video boards, the north scoreboard will be removed.
