Mississippi State, Louisville flip defensive coordinators

Mississippi State has named Louisville's Todd Grantham its new defensive coordinator, the Bulldogs confirmed Wednesday.

Interestingly enough, the man Grantham is replacing, Peter Sirmon, quickly took his now-vacant job at Louisville.

Grantham served in the same role at Louisville since 2014 and helped the Cardinals become one of the best against the run. Louisville finished 12th in the nation against the ground game this season.

Mississippi State ranked a dreadful 110th in the country in total defense in 2016.
