P.J. Fleck flips 6 commits to Minnesota on first day as HC

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

It didn't take long for P.J. Fleck to make his presence felt at Minnesota, as the new coach has already flipped six commitments from Western Michigan to his new program.

The top name among the players Fleck flipped is quarterback Tanner Morgan from Union, Kentucky. The 6-foot-1, 203-pounder is ranked by ESPN as the 40th-best pocket-passer in the country, and the sixth-best prospect from his home state.

Other Bronco commits that will now follow Fleck to Minnesota include linebacker Trenton Guthrie, receiver Chris Bell, guard John Michael Schmitz, and defensive ends Esezi Otomewo and Noah Hickcox.

Morgan is the prize of the bunch, as the standout pivot also held offers from Louisville, Wake Forest, and Cincinnati.

If Fleck can do this after just hours on the job, just imagine what he can pull off with a full recruiting cycle.

The player's decisions certainly have to add insult to injury for Western Michigan fans, who have not only lost their coach, but now six of their top commits as well.
