Already in the midst of major changes on the defensive side of the ball, the also Cleveland Browns appear to be at risk of losing a prominent offensive coach to the college ranks.

Pep Hamilton, who was brought aboard as an associate head coach under Hue Jackson last offseason, is weighing a departure to work on Jim Harbaugh's staff at Michigan, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Hamilton has briefly worked under the veteran head coach at Stanford, serving as the wide receivers coach for one season back in 2010 before Harbaugh bolted to the NFL.

He transitioned to offensive coordinator for the next two seasons under David Shaw and went on to land the same job at the pro level with the Indianapolis Colts in 2013.

With Tim Drevno already holding that position on Harbaugh's staff in Ann Arbour, Hamilton is being courted to replace Jedd Fisch as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Cleveland finished the 2016 campaign ranked 31st in scoring and 30th in total yards. Losing Hamilton would be somewhat less of a blow for the Browns, given Jackson's role as the primary offensive playcaller, but a significant change isn't ideal heading into the second season of a massive organizational rebuild.
