Auburn's Stanton Truitt announces decision to transfer

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Auburn running back Stanton Truitt has played his final game in a Tigers uniform.

The redshirt sophomore announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will be transferring from Auburn after three seasons with the program. Truitt did not indicate where he is looking to transfer.

Truitt came to Auburn as a four-star athlete, ranked 202nd on the ESPN 300 for the class of 2014, but was not able to factor in as a regular in the Tigers' starting lineup.

From 2014-16, Truitt managed to record just 215 yards rushing on 37 carries for two touchdowns to go along with 126 receiving yards on 10 catches for one touchdown.
