After recording 14 catches, 226 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in Tuesday's Cactus Bowl, Baylor wide receiver KD Cannon announced he'll forgo his senior season and declare for the NFL draft.

"We have endured so much during these last couple of seasons and I am proud to say that my brothers and I kept our heads held high," Cannon said in a statement on Twitter. "The constant support and encouragement from Baylor and the fans has allowed me to endure and overcome some challenges that I have faced during my time here.

"As a father, all of my decisions now are made with the best interest of my children and family in mind. Through much prayer and consideration, I have made the exciting decision to enter the 2017 NFL Draft."

Cannon finished the 2016 season with 87 receptions for 1,215 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Texas native has tallied 195 catches, 3,113 yards, and 27 touchdowns in his career.
