Texas A&M receiver Speedy Noil turned himself in to College Station police after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle.

Noil was subsequently suspended by the team following the news.

"We are aware of the situation with football player Speedy Noil and he was suspended prior to practice today per athletics department policy," the Aggies said in a statement, according to Ben Baby of the Dallas Morning News.

Police responding to a noise complaint on Friday evening were lead to Noil's apartment and noticed an odor of marijuana coming from his residence. When Noil became hostile, more police officers were called to the apartment.

After police received approval to search the residence, they found 4.1 grams of marijuana in his kitchen.

The junior was suspended from the Aggies bowl game last year, as well as the season opener versus UCLA for violation of unspecified team rules. He was also arrested back in April for driving without a license.
