The College Football Playoff committee announced No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Ohio State, and No. 4 Washington as the four playoff teams Sunday.

Following the playoff rankings, the committee revealed the remaining bowl games to round out the New Year's Six. Here's a look:

Capital One Orange Bowl

No. 6 Michigan (10-2) vs. No. 11 Florida State (9-3)

Date: Friday, Dec. 30, 2016
Start Time: 8 PM (ET)
Location: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL

No. 6 Michigan's loss to No. 3 Ohio State two weeks ago proved to be the nail in the coffin of its CFP hopes, yet the Wolverines will have the opportunity to compete in the Orange Bowl against No. 11 Florida State.

The Wolverines are now looking for their second all-time Orange Bowl victory, while the Seminoles will appear in their tenth Orange Bowl, looking for their fifth win. Florida State appears to be the team with momentum, finishing the regular season with four consecutive victories, while Michigan dropped two of its last three games after winning nine straight contests.

Cotton Bowl

No. 15 Western Michigan (13-0) vs. No. 8 Wisconsin (10-3)

Date: Monday, Jan. 2, 2017
Start Time: 1 PM (ET)
Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX

P.J. Fleck's No. 15 Western Michigan team managed to row the boat all the way to the Cotton Bowl, as the highest-ranked Group of 5 team, and will be taking on the Big Ten finalists in No. 8 Wisconsin.

The Broncos will ride the momentum of an undefeated season into the matchup, however they'll face a tough Badgers team whose losses have come against three of the top six teams in the CFP's final rankings. Western Michigan will need to take that final step and overcome a stingy Wisconsin defense in order to validate its 2016 season as one of the best in the FBS.

Rose Bowl

No. 9 USC (9-3) vs. No. 5 Penn State (11-2)

Date: Monday, Jan. 2, 2017
Start Time: 5 PM (ET)
Location: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA

No. 5 Penn State came up just one spot short of earning a playoff bid despite a thrilling comeback to capture the Big Ten championship, but will take on No. 9 USC in the Rose Bowl instead.

Both teams ended the season on strong notes, with the Nittany Lions overcoming No. 8 Wisconsin to win the Big Ten title, and the Trojans rhyming off eight consecutive victories after losing three of their first four games. This contest could very well be the most anticipated non-playoff game of the New Year's Six, and the electricity should translate into a spirited affair.

Sugar Bowl

No. 14 Auburn (8-4) vs. No. 7 Oklahoma (10-2)

Date: Monday, Jan. 2, 2017
Start Time: 8:30 PM (ET)
Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA

No. 7 Oklahoma earned a bid into the Sugar Bowl - and won the Big 12 championship - with a win over No. 12 Oklahoma State, and will be joined by No. 14 Auburn, the second-highest ranked team in the SEC.

Auburn dominated the middle of its schedule, but lost two of three games to open and close the season. Oklahoma is arguably the hottest Power 5 team in college football right now, riding nine consecutive victories through a conference championship and right into the Sugar Bowl. Putting a stop to Oklahoma's offence will be a tall order for Auburn, but with the status of Dede Westbrook up in the air, the Tigers could have a legitimate shot at coming away with the victory.
