James Franklin: 'It's on you now, committee'

Penn State came back to beat Wisconsin to claim the Big Ten title and with it gave the College Football Playoff committee something to ponder.

All season the Big Ten conference has been regarded as the toughest in the nation and Nittany Lions coach James Franklin believes his team should be given a shot.

After the trophy presentation Saturday, Franklin threw the gauntlet down to the committee.

"What I do know is we just won the toughest conference in college football," Franklin said during his postgame press conference. "We won nine straight. They say you're allowed to overcome early setbacks, we've done that. It's on you now, committee."

The debate is whether No. 4 Washington falls out of the top 4 despite going 12-1 and winning the Pac-12 championship.
