-Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma, passed for 288 yards and three TDs to help the No. 7 Sooners beat No. 11 Oklahoma State 38-20 in a matchup that decided the Big 12 champion and likely guaranteed the Sooners a trip to the Sugar Bowl.
-Gage Gubrud, Eastern Washington, threw for 449 yards and two TDs and ran for a third score in a 31-14 win over Central Arkansas in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
-Jeremiah Briscoe, Sam Houston State, threw for 363 yards and five TDs, giving him an FCS record 57 this season, in a 41-36 quarterfinal win over Chattanooga.
-Anthony Wales, Western Kentucky, rushed for 209 yards and four TDs in a 58-44 win over Louisiana Tech in the Conference USA championship game.
-Justin Crawford, West Virginia, ran for 209 yards and the No. 14 Mountaineers held on for a 24-21 victory over Baylor on Saturday night in their Big 12 regular-season finale.
-Bryan Schor, James Madison, threw for 371 yards and five TDs in a 55-22 win over New Hampshire in the FCS quarterfinals.
-Jesse Ertz, Kansas State, ran for a career-high 170 yards with a TD and threw an 83-yard scoring pass as the Wildcats ended their regular season with a 30-6 win at TCU.

TIDES ROLLS INTO CFP
Alabama showed off all its weapons in the Southeastern Conference championship game.
Now, the Crimson Tide can expect a return trip to Atlanta for the College Football Playoff.
The nation's No. 1 team scored off a blocked punt and an interception return before wearing down No. 15 Florida in the second half with a dominant running game. The result was a 54-16 rout that positioned Alabama to go for its second straight national title and its fifth crown in the last nine years under coach Nick Saban.
Next up: a likely semifinal game at the Georgia Dome on Dec. 31.

CHAMPION OWLS
Soon after coach Matt Rhule received the obligatory drenching on the sideline, confetti rained down on the Temple football team and the players jumped with excitement during a celebration that was nearly five decades in the making.
For the first time since 1967, the Owls are league champions .
Phillip Walker threw two touchdown passes, Temple's defense stuffed Navy's running game and the Owls claimed their first American Athletic Conference title with a 34-10 victory.
After Temple scored touchdowns on its first three possessions, protecting the 21-0 lead became substantially easier when No. 20 Navy lost standout quarterback Will Worth to a second-quarter ankle injury.
Although the defeat took Navy out of the running for the Cotton Bowl, the Midshipmen are expected to play in the Armed Forces Bowl after facing Army next Saturday.
