Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield: Returning for 2017 season
Mayfield announced after Saturday's win that he will return to the Sooners for the 2017 season, Ryan Aber of The Oklahoman reports.
Analysis:
The highly prolific Mayfield will utilize his final year of eligibility in lieu of entering the 2017 NFL Draft. He put a bow on another excellent season Saturday by throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's win over Oklahoma State, which puts him up to 3,669 yards and 38 touchdowns through the air on the year. 2017 will be his third year at the helm of Oklahoma's explosive offense, which will make him one of the top fantasy quarterbacks in the nation once again regardless of the question marks in the Sooner receiving corps.
