Ohio State's Curtis Samuel: Produces on limited touches

Samuel carried just twice but reached 71 yards and scored a rushing touchdown against Penn State. He added eight grabs for 68 yards receiving.

Analysis:

Samuel plays second fiddle to Mike Weber in Ohio State's backfield, but outproduced his counterpart in total yardage Saturday. The speedster rumbled for a 74-yard touchdown on one of his two carries, his lowest total on the season. Ohio State's offense was shut down by the Nittany Lions on Saturday, and the rush game could have some struggles again next week against a Northwestern defense allowing just 3.70 yards per carry and 132 yards per game on the ground.
