Wisconsin's Biegel set for return vs. Iowa

Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

Wisconsin's dominant defense will be even stronger on Saturday against Iowa, as the school announced standout linebacker Vince Biegel will return from injury.

The senior has missed the past two games - both Wisconsin losses - with a cracked bone in his foot. While those defeats came against No. 3 Michigan and No. 2 Ohio State, the return of Wisconsin's defensive captain will be huge for Justin Wilcox's unit.

The Badgers rank ninth in the country defensively, allowing just 15.2 points per contest, but will be in tough Saturday against a Hawkeyes team that's topped the 30-point mark in four of seven games this season.

Biegel has nine tackles, including two for loss, in the four games he's suited up for.
