Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer: Better runner than passer against Stanford
Kizer completed 14-of-26 passes for 154 yards while running 11 times for 83 yards and a rushing touchdown last Saturday in 17-10 loss to Stanford.
Analysis:
Kizer improved against the Cardinal but that's not saying much after the hurricane-like conditions the previous week against North Carolina State. The junior quarterback has been in the conversation as a top NFL draft pick next spring, but his recent play has not helped his cause. Notre Dame hopes that a week off will help Kizer as the Irish have a tough next opponent in University of Miami, Florida (Oct. 29) who is 24th in the country in team passing efficiency defense.
