UCLA's Josh Rosen: Mora hopeful Rosen will play versus Utah

Head coach Jim Mora is hopeful that Rosen (undisclosed injury) will be able to practice on Tuesday, and, as the week progresses, steadily increase his activity level leading up to Saturday's game against Utah, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Mora tells the Times that while Rosen took all the snaps during UCLA's walk-through at the University of Idaho last Saturday afternoon, the sophomore's body simply didn't respond well enough later that evening to warrant him risking further injury to his lower body and throwing shoulder against Washington State. The upside in all of this? According to Mora, Rosen was "pretty darn close" to playing against the Cougars, and, as such, should be able to go in a Week Eight contest against Utah - assuming, that is, Rosen is able to begin rejoining the team in practice starting on Tuesday.
