Mississippi State's Ashton Shumpert: Starts but ineffective in loss

Shumpert received the start Friday at BYU for the injured Brandon Holloway (undisclosed), but rushed six times for just 10 yards in the 28-21 Double OT loss.

Analysis:

Meanwhile, Aeris Williams rushed 21 times for 82 yards, and quarterback Nick Fitzgerald scored twice on the ground. It would appear that Williams has the inside track for increased touches at Kentucky should Holloway remain sidelined.
