Iowa's Derrick Mitchell: Returns to practice

Mitchell (leg) has returned to practice after missing the last two games, Steve Batterson of the Quad City Times reports.

Analysis:

Mitchell's return adds depth to the Iowa backfield, but he'll still be third in the pecking order behind LeShun Daniels and Akrum Wadley. Although he's a converted receiver, Mitchell will remain in his role at running back despite the injury to top wideout Matt VandeBerg. Mitchell's return won't move the needle much in terms of fantasy impact as his main contributions will likely come as an occasional pass-catcher on third downs.
