Michigan State's Reschke to miss 'significant time' with ankle sprain

Mike Carter / USA TODAY Sports

Michigan State outside linebacker Jon Reschke will miss a "significant time period" while recovering from a severely sprained ankle, head coach Mark Dantonio said Tuesday, according to ESPN's Dan Murphy.

Reschke, a junior, has 13 tackles and an interception in two games this season. He left Saturday's loss to Wisconsin early after injuring the ankle.

Dantonio said he's "optimistic" Reschke, who missed the season opener with a different injury, will be able to return this season.

In other Michigan State news, Dantonio said inside linebacker Riley Bullough is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Bullough didn't play against the Badgers because of the unknown ailment.
