Michigan's Wilton Speight: Solid in win over Penn State

Speight went 21-for-34 for 189 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win over Penn State.

Analysis:

It was another solid yet unspectacular effort from Speight as Michigan primarily leaned on the run game against the Nittany Lions. After last week's shaky outing against Colorado (16-30, 229, 1 TD), it was encouraging to see Speight up his efficiency even if he wasn't taking shots deep down the field. In all, Speight can be expected to turn in performances like Saturday's for the remainder of the season, but he's unlikely to put up gaudy stat lines moving forward given the nature of Michigan's offense.
