Ohio State linebacker Justin Hilliard said on Instagram on Friday he'll be sidelined for the next six months.
The freshman's photo shows his arm in a sling:
Hilliard's pending absence is the result of a torn left bicep, a source told Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19.
Hilliard came to the Buckeyes as a five-star recruit, and the No. 1-ranked linebacker prospect in the country. He played in two games this year, making four tackles in the season-opener.
A six-month rehab means Hilliard won't play again this season.
Ohio State has not commented on the matter.
