Notre Dame's Dexter Williams: Case heard by university, cleared for Saturday

Williams has been cleared to play Saturday against Duke, Mike Vorel of the South Bend Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Williams and three other teammates had their cases heard by the university this week and have gotten the green light to play Saturday. The sophomore running back has had a limited role in the offense thus far, getting eight carries for 59 yards through three games. Now that his issue with the university is cleared up, he's no longer at risk of facing a suspension it seems.
