UCLA's Nate Starks: Returns to lead Bruins in rushing in win

Starks carried 15 times for 39 yards and pulled in three receptions totaling an additional 16 yards Saturday as UCLA edged out Brigham Young 17-14 on the road in Provo.

Analysis:

With Soso Jamabo inexplicably out of uniform for Saturday's contest, Starks was provided the opportunity to make his first appearance of the season, pacing all UCLA rushers with 15 carries totaling 39 yards along the way. The junior, who remained mysteriously absent from the Bruins' first two games as the result of a coach's decision, recorded his lowest yards-per-carry average since 2014 against Brigham Young, but appears poised to play a critical cog in the Bruins' ground attack moving forward. Fantasy owners will want to watch Jamabo's status heading into a Week Four conference-opener against Stanford, as should the sophomore be ruled out, Starks would be likely become the beneficiary of a second consecutive start at tailback.
