Notre Dame, Toledo agree to game at South Bend in 2021

Notre Dame and Toledo will meet up Sept. 11, 2021 at Notre Dame Stadium in what will be the first-ever game between the two programs.

“We are very pleased and excited to add Notre Dame to our 2021 football schedule,” said Toledo athletic director Mike O’Brien in a statement. He added, “Notre Dame has one of the greatest college football traditions in the country so it definitely will be a matchup our football team will be looking forward to."

The Rockets become the fifth Mid-American Conference program to face the Irish, joining Miami, Ball State, Akron, and Western Michigan.

Notre Dame will face Toledo just five days after travelling to Tallahassee to play Florida State on Labor Day.
