Grade 2 student rips Tennessee's Week 1 effort in school project

Tennessee entered the 2016 season as most pundits' favorite to win the SEC East, but after the Volunteers labored to a narrow overtime win over Appalachian State, that sentiment seems to have weakened.

Many Tennessee fans were highly disappointed in the effort, perhaps none more so than a second-grader in teacher Emily Thomas' class.

Thomas tweeted out a picture of a student's project for her class in which the student wrote: "Last night I went to my nana's house to watch a football game. We suck. That game was a nightmare. We almost lost. It really was a nightmare. Go Vols."

The Volunteers have a chance to get back on their fans' good side this Saturday against Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway.
