Mississippi State defensive tackle Nick James was arrested Sunday morning for public intoxication, according to Michael Bonner and Sarah Fowler of The Clarion-Ledger.

Oktibbeha County Chief Deputy Chadd Garnett confirmed Starkville police arrested James, but did not provide any further details. James was arrested at Rick's Cafe at 1:36 a.m. Sunday morning, according to a report from the Starkville Daily News.

Mississippi State confirmed Sunday that head coach Dan Mullen is aware of the incident, and is currently gathering information before taking action.

It's James' fourth arrest in the last three years at Mississippi State. James was arrested for public intoxication in February 2015, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct in October 2014, and driving without insurance in 2013.

James appeared in all 13 games in 2015, starting 10 at defensive tackle. He recorded 26 tackles, three tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries, and one forced fumble.
