South Carolina lands touted corner Jamyest Williams

Coach Will Muschamp and South Carolina added a big piece to its 2017 recruiting-class puzzle Sunday, as four-star cornerback Jamyest Williams committed to the Gamecocks.

Williams is ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 cornerback in the upcoming recruiting cycle and the No. 37 overall prospect.

Williams, a 5-foot-9 native of Logansville, Ga., chose South Carolina over Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and numerous other high-profile schools.
