Oregon State's Damien Haskins, Leo Fuimaono declare medical retirements

Oregon State will be without two rostered players from 2015, as running back Damien Haskins and offensive lineman Leo Fuimaono have medically retired, according to Danny Moran of The Oregonian.

Haskins, a redshirt junior, did not make a major impact in 2015, registering only seven carries for 62 yards, but was going to provide the Beavers with a quality depth option. The cause of Haskins' retirement was not immediately made available.

Fuimaono was reportedly competing for the starting center job for the Beavers, but began to feel neck pain during the second week of spring practices after being hit. Doctors later diagnosed him with congenital spinal stenosis.

"I was thinking about the bigger picture later in life," Fuimaono said. "I feel good about my decision."
