Oklahoma's Geno Lewis: Improving in Oklahoma Offense
Lewis has made a big impression both on the field and in the locker room while preparing for the season opener at Houston, Ryan Aber of The Oklahoman reports.
Analysis:
Lewis' performance in the Oklahoma spring game was underwhelming with only two catches for 16 yards. Since then though, the senior transfer has been soaking in the playbook and has made quite the impression on offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley. "He has really good ball skills. He's shown the ability to move around to different positions while being here a short time which is impressive," said Riley. Lewis could be Oklahoma's answer to Sterling Shepard's departure. With an elite signal caller in Baker Mayfield, Lewis could surpass his best season at Penn State when he caught 55 balls for 751 yards in 2014.
