Florida's Tabor, Lewis will return to practice Thursday

Jeff Blake / USA TODAY Sports

Florida cornerback Teez Tabor and tight end C'yontai Lewis, both currently banished from the team, will return to practice next Thursday, head coach Jim McElwain told reporters Friday.

Tabor and Lewis were suspended Wednesday after they fought one another during practice the night before.

The pair of Gators will remain suspended for the season opener versus UMass, but it appears they're on track for reinstatement after the game.

Tabor, one of the top defensive backs in the country, had four interceptions and 18 pass breakups last season, while Lewis posted four catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
