Auburn's Kyle Davis: Nears return to practice

Davis (foot) is hoping to return to practice at some point this week, Wesley Sinor of AL.com reports.

Analysis:

Davis had a procedure performed on his foot in July, forcing him to sit out fall camp up to this point. The 6-foot-2 freshman could return by the end of the week, but if not, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back on the practice field early next week. Davis was a highly coveted recruit coming out of high school, but will need to prove himself on the collegiate level before receiving significant playing time.
