Report: Texas' Roderick Bernard out for season after car accident

Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE

Texas running back Roderick Bernard will likely be sidelined for the entire 2016 season after sustaining injuries from a car accident, according to Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman.

Roderick was in a car accident earlier in the month, however there were no details on the injuries.

The Houston native played in five games as a true freshman in 2014 before injuring his knee.

Last season he played in 10 games, recording one catch for four yards and primarily serving as a kick returner for the Longhorns. The team moved him from receiver to running back in the spring.
