Following the death of punter Sam Foltz on Saturday night, Nebraska announced that the team will not take part in its reserved time slot at Big Ten media days in Chicago, Ill.

Foltz was killed along with former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler when the car Sadler was operating struck a tree after losing control on wet pavement. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was also in the car and suffered burns to his legs and required stitches for his injuries.

Nebraska head coach Mike Riley, along with quarterback Tommy Armstrong, linebacker Josh Banderas, and wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp were originally scheduled to attend the media days on behalf of the program, according to Andrew Holleran of Fox Sports.
