Jennifer Hilderbrand / US PRESSWIRE

Oklahoma landed a major piece for its 2017 recruiting class Wednesday as four-star offensive tackle Marquis Hayes committed to the Sooners.

The massive 6-foot-6, 334-pound Hayes is ranked as the third-best prospect in the state of Missouri by ESPN, and the 39th overall tackle in the 2017 class.

Hayes held offers from a number of Power 5 programs including Kansas State, Miami, Illinois, and Missouri before choosing to play for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma. He will likely move to guard to play at the collegiate level, and joins fellow four-star lineman Tyrese Robinson in the 2017 class.
