Ohio State RB Dun dismissed for rules violation

Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer announced Monday night that running back Bri'Onte Dunn has been dismissed for a violation of team rules.

The fifth-year senior's release stemmed from "an altercation with a female," Jordan Strack of the Toledo-based WTOL reported.

In three seasons with the Buckeyes, Dunn had 291 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 49 carries. He was in position to battle redshirt freshman Mike Weber for the starting job, Cleveland.com reports.

Dunn's best season came in 2012, when he rushed for a career-high 133 yards and a pair of scores on 25 carries over 26 games.

Dunn has one season of eligibility remaining. He graduated from Ohio State in May with a degree in sports industry.
