Baylor to present sexual assault investigation results to Big 12 on Tuesday

It's been nearly a month since the Big 12 requested that Baylor turn over all documents related to the sexual assault scandal that has rocked the school, including the full written report by the Pepper Hamilton law firm into Baylor's handling of the allegations.

There's just one problem: No full written report exists. During his opening press conference at Big 12 media days Monday, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby confirmed that Pepper Hamilton didn't create a written report, although Baylor will still present the results of the investigation to the conference Tuesday.

"I've met with Baylor leadership, including the interim president, and the chair of the board, and another chair of one of their significant committees of the Board of Regents, and they have indicated that they don't have a written report," Bowlsby told reporters. "They will be meeting with our board tomorrow, and we will provide an opportunity for board members to ask questions and they will make a presentation. They have told us that there is not a written report, and what's out there, what we have in writing is what you have in writing. That is the finding of facts and the steps behind it."

While the Big 12 won't make any decision Tuesday, Bowlsby said the information presented will go a long way in determining whether the Big 12 will take any action against Baylor.

Rather than a written report, Pepper Hamilton prepared an oral presentation to the Board of Regents that outlined the investigation, The New York Times' Marc Tracy reported Friday. The board then created and published a 13-page summary of Pepper Hamilton's findings and recommendations.
