Mora sticks up for DC Bradley amid Penn State allegations

UCLA defensive coordinator Tom Bradley said he wasn't aware of Jerry Sandusky's child abuse while an assistant at Penn State, and Jim Mora believes him.

"I know this about Tom: He is a man of integrity," the Bruins head coach said at Pac-12 media days Thursday, according to ESPN's Ted Miller. "He's been vetted by a number of different people - as well as UCLA - very, very thoroughly. It took us a long time to hire him because our university takes these things very seriously. So we went through the process of vetting his background and his stories and he made a statement and he stands by that statement and I stand by him. I feel comfortable with that."

Bradley is one of two former Penn State assistants to allegedly have known about at least one incident involving Sandusky and a young boy in a shower. The other is current Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano.

Both coaches denied the claims Tuesday after the deposition they appear in - made by Mike McQueary, another ex-Penn State assistant, in 2015 - was revealed in previously unsealed documents.

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has backed his defensive coordinator, saying Wednesday that he's spoken to Schiano about the accusation and that there isn't anyone he respects more than him.
