Robert Hainsey, a four-star offensive guard, has committed to the Notre Dame 2017 class.

Hainsey chose the Fighting Irish over Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Florida, and various others.

"I have been extremely blessed throughout this process. I truly appreciate all of the coaches who have believed in me and offered me a scholarship," the Bradenton, Fla. native tweeted. "However, I believe I have made the best decision for my future, and I want to thank the staff at this university for this opportunity to better myself. ... I will be committing to the University of Notre Dame."

At 6-foot-5 and 276 pounds, Hainsey was rated the second-best offensive guard in the county and the No. 18 recruit in the state of Florida.

Notre Dame now has 14 commitments for the 2017 class, and Hainsey is its ninth four-star prospect.
