Michigan offers scholarship to 8th-grade QB

As Jim Harbaugh's barnstorming satellite camp tour rolls on, his recent stop in Hawaii has yielded a scholarship offer ... to an eighth grader.

Michigan has offered a scholarship to dual-threat quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava from the island, who hasn't started high school and falls under the 2020 recruiting class.

There's apparently no such thing as too young in Harbaugh's world, but should Maiava decide to commit to the Wolverines, there's a good chance the energetic coach may be long gone. In previous stops at San Diego, Stanford, and the San Francisco 49ers, the 52-year-old has never lasted more than four seasons.
